The WWA hosts the dinner each year on the Snake River near Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho. The event is held on a weekend in mid-March, with overnight camping at Three Island Crossing State Park. The Fest includes a river run on Saturday, followed by a potluck dinner on Saturday night. Most folks stay over and run again on Sunday. The run starts early on Saturday; so people typically arrive Friday evening. The launch is at the Glenn’s Ferry boat ramp, and the run proceeds up the Snake River to a point between Pilgrim Rapids and Peg Leg Rapids. This is a popular event and typically, about fifty boats participate.
The run is not exceedingly difficult, but there are a couple of rapids that warrant proper respect and due diligence.
